Marvellous Micro-Organisms

During Term 2, 2010 the grade 5/6 students at Birralee will be studying Marvellous Micro-Organisms. The major project this term is:

Part A:
1) Personal History – Research the personal history of your chosen Australian Scientist
2) What is their area of scientific expertise or study? Explain what this area of science researches. Why did you scientist choose this field?
3) What are your scientists scientific achievements?
4) Describe the positive and negative impact this discovery has had on our lifestyles.
5) List the awards/prizes/citations of your scientist and/or their team of scientists.

Part B:
In character, explain through dramatisation the facts about your scientist. You must present in costume and you may use props to assist in your story telling. This should be delivered in the form of a monologue, which should be memorised and presented without notes
